Embarking on a new career can raise many questions. This page is here to provide you with clear and concise answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about working at PTV Group, our application process, benefits, company culture, and more. We hope that these FAQs will help address any uncertainties and provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your career journey with us.
How do I apply to PTV?
Please apply directly via our online tool. You will find the "Apply here" button below each job ad, which will take you to the online tool. Please note that we cannot consider applications submitted by any other means.
If there is no suitable position advertised at the moment, you are welcome to send us an unsolicited application. It is important that you define exactly what you would like to do, so that we can forward your application to the right contact person.
If you don't want to send an unsolicited application, you can also subscribe to our "Job Alert". This means that you enter keywords that apply to you, such as software development or Karlsruhe, in the search field and you will be informed by e-mail as soon as we offer a suitable position.
What documents are needed for the application?
Please send us your resume and all relevant work and school references. Optionally, you can also send us a letter of motivation. This will help us to learn even more about you and your motivation.
Has PTV received my application?
Once you have filled out the online form and uploaded your documents, you will receive an email confirming receipt.
Will I be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred during interviews?
Travel costs will be covered in the amount of a 2nd class train ticket. There is a form for this, which we will send to you with the invitation to the interview. You must complete this form and return it to us with the original receipts for your travel expenses. If you travel by car, we will cover the costs that you would have incurred for a 2nd class train journey. You are welcome to clarify all other possible costs and their assumption with the recruiting team in advance.
I can't upload my documents or submit my application. What should I do?
It is possible that you haven't filled in all the mandatory fields in the online form, or that your attachments are too large, or aren't in the correct format.
The red fields in the application form are mandatory; you must complete them all. The grey fields are optional. We would be pleased if you were to fill them in, but it is not compulsory.
The rules for attachments are as follows:
You can upload a complete application or individual documents. The following file formats are possible: Word (doc, docx), PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF. Please do not upload PDFs or Word documents that have a password or write protection and please do not use compressed ZIP files. All documents may not exceed the size of 15 MB.
I would like to apply for several jobs at the same time. Is that possible?
You are also welcome to apply for several advertised positions. We will then forward the applications to the respective departments.
I saw a position advertised on an external job site, but I can't see it on the PTV homepage any more, or I am no longer able to access the application form. Is the position still open?
If you came across one of our job adverts on an external job site and can't see the position advertised any more on our homepage, this means that the position has already been filled.
This is because external job sites sometimes need a few days to take the job adverts offline.
With regard to advertised positions, PTV has no application deadlines. All the positions that you can see on our homepage are up to date and vacant, meaning that you can apply.
Is it possible to submit a speculative application?
You are welcome to send us an unsolicited application. To do so, please use the "Unsolicited application" button on the vacancies page and also fill out our online application tool. Please describe in your letter of motivation which areas of responsibility are of interest to you. Please understand that the review of your documents may take longer in this case.
Can I also apply by e-mail or by mail?
No. Please apply exclusively via our online portal.
